Focus groups

Our focus groups provide a platform for ongoing exchanges between professionals at public service providers on issues related to net zero.

Target groups

The EEC 2040 target groups comprise federally affiliated enterprises, decentralised federal agencies, the Swiss cantons and associated cantonal organisations. The focus groups are aimed at experts from these organisations.

Targets

Access to the latest information published by the federal government (including strategies, regulatory requirements and current initiatives)
The opportunity to contribute practical insights and requirements to federal frameworks
Peer exchange among participants (and external speakers) on technical issues, own strategies, approaches, specific measures and projects, etc.
Development of solutions that can be incorporated into the EEC 2040 catalogue of measures or translated into practical tools, fact sheets and other resource
Reinforcement of leading by example through the dissemination of information from the focus groups to internal and external target groups via webinars, trade articles, case studies, etc.

Format

The focus groups are led by the relevant federal offices (FOEN, KBOB, FPC and SFOE). The EEC 2040 Programme Office coordinates the focus groups and supports the group leaders. Participation should remain as consistent and committed as possible over time. The focus groups meet between one and four times a year (depending on the requirements of the specific focus group) in person and/or online to exchange insights and views on current topics.
