RUAG MRO Holding Ltd includes RUAG Ltd and RUAG Real Estate Ltd as well as other subsidiaries. Energy and climate
With regard to energy and climate, RUAG MRO Holding Ltd is focussing on reducing the CO2 emissions of its heating systems, expanding renewable electricity and installing electric charging stations.
In 2021, RUAG Real Estate Ltd’s property portfolio caused 3,989 tonnes of CO2 emissions. The aim is that by 2030, all oil and gas heating systems will be converted to renewable energy sources, so that these emissions are eliminated completely.
Targets
Under the EEC initiative, RUAG MRO Holding Ltd has pledged to meet the following targets:
1. Increasing energy efficiency
Benchmark: 2018/2019
- Target for 2026: +6%
- Target for 2030: +10%
2. Switching to renewable energies
Thermal energy and fuels
- Target for 2026: 50% renewables
- Target for 2030: 60% renewables
Electricity
All RUAG MRO Holding Ltd’s electricity already comes from renewable sources.
3. Producing green power
Photovoltaics
- Production in 2021: 0.4GWh
- Target for 2026: +1.2GWh
- Target for 2030: +1.4GWh
Measures
Like all the participants, RUAG MRO Holding Ltd has undertaken to implement the joint measures. In addition, RUAG MRO Holding Ltd is also implementing the following individual measures:
1. Carbon-neutral heat generation in all properties
2030: 0CO2 emissions from space heating
